Clean, slightly compressed Strat tone with a glassy bell-like quality. The intro arpeggio uses position 2 (bridge + middle) for that thin, articulate top end. The chorus and outro lead is the same rig pushed slightly with an overdrive — never fully saturated. The recorded tone has unmistakable amp room, like the speakers are breathing into the microphones. Frusciante's vibrato is wide and slow, a signature in itself.
